LITURGICAL PRAYERS

Prayer for Advent

Lord Jesus Christ, as we prepare for Your coming, quiet our hearts and turn our minds away from the distractions of the world.
Teach us to wait with faith, hope, and repentance. Help us prepare our souls as carefully as we prepare our homes, so that when You come, You may find us watchful and ready.
Increase in us a longing for holiness, a deeper love of prayer, and a greater desire to receive You worthily.
Come, Lord Jesus, and make our hearts ready for You.
Amen.

Prayer for Christmas

O Divine Infant Jesus, born in poverty and humility for our salvation, fill our hearts with wonder at the mystery of Your birth.
Bless our families and our homes. Help us to remember that the greatest gift of Christmas is not found in the things of this world, but in You.
May the peace of Bethlehem enter our hearts, may charity grow within our families, and may we always welcome You with faith, gratitude, and love.
Jesus, born for us, remain always at the center of our Christmas and our lives.
Amen.

Prayer for Lent

Lord Jesus Christ, lead me with You into this holy season of prayer, fasting, and repentance.
Show me the sins and attachments that keep me from loving You fully. Give me the courage to deny myself, the humility to seek forgiveness, and the strength to carry my daily crosses faithfully.
May every sacrifice I make draw me closer to You. Purify my heart, renew my soul, and prepare me to enter more deeply into the mystery of Your Passion.
Jesus, help me die to sin so that I may live more fully in You.
Amen.

Prayer for Easter

Risen Lord Jesus, You have conquered sin and death and opened the gates of eternal life.
Fill my heart with the joy and hope of Your Resurrection. Strengthen my faith when I am afraid, lift me when I fall, and remind me that no darkness is greater than Your light.
Help me to live as a child of the Resurrection, leaving behind the ways of sin and walking in the newness of Your grace.
Jesus Christ is risen. May my life proclaim that truth each day.
Amen.

Prayer for Pentecost

Come, Holy Spirit, and renew my heart.
Fill me with Your gifts and strengthen me to live the Catholic faith with courage, wisdom, and charity. Set my heart on fire with love for God and give me the grace to speak and act according to truth.
Drive away fear, lukewarmness, and hesitation. Make me faithful in prayer, strong in temptation, and ready to serve wherever God calls me.
Holy Spirit, renew our families, renew Your Church, and renew the face of the earth.
Amen.

Prayer for Ordinary Time

Lord Jesus Christ, teach me to find You in the ordinary moments of each day.
Help me to be faithful in my work, patient with my family, generous toward others, and attentive to the quiet ways You call me to holiness.
Do not let me believe that holiness is found only in great moments. Teach me to offer You my daily duties, small sacrifices, joys, and difficulties with love.
May the ordinary days of my life become a path to extraordinary holiness through faithfulness to You.
Amen.
